Dear Friend, Thanks for the thoughts and I love your point. I have often found myself being cautioned about the words "arguing" or "argument(s)." I think we stumble a bit in what is often called semantics - the meanings of the words. To make my life easier I use the word "sharing" to describe putting forth a person's beliefs, theories, ideas, etc. Two people sharing then becomes a pleasant dialogical and learning activity. One could easily say, "We both put forth our arguments." I fear that if you call that arguing, it becomes mixed up with the other type of activity, the actions of bullies, utilizing threat to reduce sharing. My articles are all about this latter activity (all about power and submission) and what to do about it. And so, I see two definitions of the word argue: one I like and one I don't. I am glad for your help to draw the distinction. Hope that makes for more clarity. Al
